WOFTBO DATA RECOVERY

Physical

Data Recovery

  • WOFTBO fees for any hard disk drive greater than 10Gb to 80Gb are $500 plus a media fee.
  • A second parts hard drive may or may not be required. If a parts hard drive is required the client pays a $50 finder fee and the actual shipped cost of the hard disk drive. Priority and weekend work must be requested and is billed accordingly.SCSI requires a $200 non refundable prepayment and the recovery fee is $100 more than an IDE.Please inquire if the failed hard disk drive is less than10Gb.Physical recoveries require a non refundable fee of $100 – this fee is not data dependent, the fee is paid whether your data is accessible or not. Parts hard drives are paid for by the client when the purchasing price is approved. If the hard drive is physically failed the odds of data recovery are greatly reduced. Our professional methods require a clean room and intensive work by technicians.
The value of your data is always forefront and any exceptional procedures require approval from the client.
Please review our links page for further information regarding the failure of your hard disk drive. We have provided basic and higher level information on the operation of a hard disk drive.
  • Email inquiries regarding any data recovery are always welcome woftbo@suddenlink.net

Hard Disk Drive

Logical vs. Physical Failure

Logical failure will display any of these symptoms:

  • The hard disk will spin up when the computer is turned on.
  • Typical failures include a blue screen, a SMART error, incomplete bootup.
  • In general the hard disk should not make any excessive noise.
  • The rate above applies to IDE only desktop or laptop – for SCSI see physical failure

Physical failure

  • The hard disk drive does not spin.
  • Excessive click click clack noises.
  • Slow spin up – when powered on the drive slowly spins up to speed.

Abandoned Equipment Policy
WOFTBO has no responsibility for any equipment left more than 90 days beyond the completion of repairs. The client may be informed via a telephone call, voice mail, email, USPS or other means regarding the completion of the work on their equipment.

Customer owned equipment shall be returned to the customer

WOFTBO endorses the policy of creating a quality data recovery industry.

Although we are providing a low fee service every job will be handled by a data recovery specialist. All data recoveries are confidential. All client hard drives are maintained in a secure controlled environment and the first goal is to clone the data to another hard disk and recover the client data from the clone. We have a policy of updating our clients as we proceed.

Viruses may or may not complicate the recovery. If virus removal is required/and/or a virus is destructive during data recovery additional fees will apply.

The odds of a successful recovery from a logical hard disk drive failure are very good. Some data may or may not be lost due to corruption.

Payment is by paypal to woftbo@suddenlink.net or cashiers check or COD (Fedex applies a fee)
